The Hunt: First Edition (commonly called The Hunt) was an official event which involved 100 partnered experiences. It took place from 10am PT on March 15, 2024 to 12pm PT on March 30, 2024.
The event's focus was known as The Infinite Vault. The Infinite Vault served as a hub for the event, with 100 different portals sending players to different games. In every game, players would be required to complete tasks, which would give players a badge for completing the task. After earning enough badges to reach a certain milestone, participants could redeem various accesories at the event's hub. Some of these items include The Vault Holo Compass, the Staff of the Vault Explorer, the Vault Explorer's Wings, the Vault Explorer's Cowl, the Vault Explorer's Crown, and The Infinite Egg. There are even more unlockable items in this event, however not all of them require badges.
On February 29, the Roblox X (formerly Twitter) account posted a vague picture, with the caption "From the icy depths, his march begins. Tomorrow." One day later, another tweet was posted, announcing a new bundle called the Korblox Deathwalker. It was followed with another caption stating "Hunting for other news? Follow along... more to come soon."...
The event's hub, named 'The Hunt: First Edition' after the event itself, was an important part of the event. It allows participants to see how many badges they've collected and the time it took them since the event's launch to get their current badge count. It also allows them to claim rewards for those badges, and get quick access to the 100 parti...
There are 100 experiences with a badge that contributes progress to the event, with 69 experiences rated as All Ages, 27 experiences as Ages 9+, and 4 experiences as Ages 13+. Some experiences also gave out free UGC items for completing optional challenges. Despite some experiences deciding to add Egg hunt-like elements, The Hunt itself is not an Egg Hunt.
Roblox automatically gave all players the badge for The Strongest Battlegrounds due to technical issues.
There were a few experiences that were planned to be part of the hunt, but were left out.
•asimo3089 was approached to have Jailbreak to partake in The Hunt, but he declined the offer due to him being on a holiday.
Should the player fulfill their badge requirements, items in the Gold Track can be accessed after claiming their respective Vault Explorer counterparts while owning the Gold Track pass (800 Robux) or the Korblox Deathwalker bundle, or be purchased separately for Robux.
These items were only available for a 24-hour limited buying time period inside of the Hub and on the Roblox marketplace. Some of these items went limited at a later date.
To coincide with the release of the event, Walmart and ASDA UK changed their gift item to a item related to the event on March 15, 2024. The gift item's release is advertised with a massive billboard within The Hunt: First Edition game.
