Sep 16, 2009 · “The Informant!” is fascinating in the way it reveals two levels of events, not always visible to each other or to the audience. A second viewing would be rewarding, knowing what we find out. Matt Damon's performance is deceptively bland.
Quirky and witty, 'The Informant!' is a great film. Mat Damon did a great job of portraying Mark Wittaker, a man high up in a corrupt corporation. He did a great job of portraying Wittaker as a man that thought he was a lot smarter and a lot nobler than he actually was.

A very underrated and under-appreciated movie. Without divulging too much of the plot, let's say Matt Damon plays a desparate character who compensates for his inferiority complex by over-doing his manipulation of others. Truth constantly shifts throughout the movie, and we are left with a very vulnerable person who wants to be, well...wanted.
