The Mean Season Filming Locations: The scenes set in the newspaper offices of the Miami Journal were actually filmed in the real offices of the Miami Herald newspaper in Miami. They were allowed to film between 10.30pm and 6.30 am, and all the reporters desks were left exactly as they really were, to give an authentic feel to the newsroom.
