Feb 23, 2021 · According to Entertainment Weekly, this was primarily due to Disney lacking the rights to the musical content. An entire episode hosted by Brooke Shields was removed for this reason as well.

Feb 22, 2021 · Two episodes of The Muppet Show are missing from the show's catalog on Disney+. The first, Episode 506, is an Alice in Wonderland- themed entry hosted by Brooke Shields, who was the youngest guest star in the show's history, that in typical Muppets fashion, goes off the rails.
Of the 120 episodes that aired from 1976-1981, 118 are available on Disney+. The two missing episodes are from Season 5, one featuring guest star Brooke Shields and the other with Chris Langham.
