     • The mercenary nature of The Next Level isn’t inherently objectionable since we’re all adults here and we know how studios operate, but it’s the lack of creativity that makes the movie ring so hollow. I get the need to strike while the iron is hot and quickly turn around a sequel, but the lack of care makes The Next Level feel like a chore.
