Feb 28, 1983 · With James MacArthur, Desi Arnaz Jr., Char Fontane, Richard Gilliland. A group of random individuals get stranded on a bridge that begins to collapse at both ends. Not only that, but a gun-wielding bank robber is using the bridge as his means of escape, and he is refusing to let any of the rescuers get anywhere near the survivors.

The Night the Bridge Fell Down is an American disaster film starring James MacArthur, Desi Arnaz Jr., and Leslie Nielsen.The movie was produced by Irwin Allen in 1979 in association with Warner Bros. Television for NBC but was not aired in the United States until February 28, 1983 – the same night the final original episode of M*A*S*H ("Goodbye, Farewell and Amen") aired on rival network CBS.

7 Reviews. Hide Spoilers. Sort by: Filter by Rating: 4/10. This Bridge spans across banality. ddc300 12 March 2014. Being an Irwin Allen aficionado, I went an purchased the DVD to this TV-movie. While the premise is a good one, the casting is a bit askew as Desi Arnaz, Jr. is grossly miscast as a bank robber (his acting is so forced it's pathetic).
