Sufficient data storage available on a computer, USB or external drive for the download. A blank USB flash drive with at least 5 GB of space or blank DVD (and DVD burner) if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted.
Launch it. Select ISO Image. Point to the Windows 10 ISO file. Check off Create a bootable disk using. Select GPT partitioning for EUFI firmware as the Partition scheme. Choose FAT32 NOT NTFS as the File system. Make sure your USB thumbdrive in the Device list box. Click Start. Close when complete.

Mar 24, 2016 · There is nothing wrong with my BIOS and the windows 10 PC I am trying to download the ISO on to from the MS site (NOT the corrupt PC I am trying to rescue) recognises the USB stick no problem. Only the Media creation tool fails to see the USB stick at step 4 in the original response "create installation media".

Then choose File - Save Aa, at the bottom of the Save As dialog, change file type to 'All Files' then save that file as ei.cfg (note you must manually add the cfg file extension) Then copy that ei.cfg file into the Sources folder in your Installation Media.
