The Supreme Court is the highest court in the UK, hearing appeals on arguable points of law of the greatest public importance, and on devolution matters under the Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland Acts. It is separate from Government and Parliament, and has 12 Justices who sit in the former Middlesex Guildhall on Parliament Square.
