Ladies’ man John Russo (Ben Gazzara) trails Angela Niotes (Audrey Hepburn), the elegant wife of a wealthy Italian industrialist, while Charles Rutledge (John Ritter) and Arthur Brodsky follow Dolores Martin (Dorothy Stratten), the beautiful young wife of a jealous husband.
It was difficult, personally, for Mr. Bogdanovich to complete this film but I'm so glad he did; this is one of his finest, an underrated masterpiece. This DVD has some cool bonus material: a conversation between Wes Anderson and Peter Bogdanovich. As well, as commentary from Mr. Bogdanovich. I highly recommend this title.
The film dedicated to her...RIP Dorothy. Falling in love w/the wrong people - sometimes works & sometimes doesn't. A freckled faced cabby & a country music singer complete w/irritating little dog round it out along w/the famous "follow that taxi" line. Last, but in no way least - Sinatra singing "They All Laughed" in the background...
