Thomas Randolph, Earl of Moray (c. 1285 – 20 July 1332) was a soldier and diplomat in the Wars of Scottish Independence, who later served as regent of Scotland. He was a nephew of Robert the Bruce, who created him as the first earl of Moray.

Jul 20, 1998 · Thomas Randolph, 1st earl of Moray (died July 20, 1332, Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scot.) was the nephew of King Robert I the Bruce of Scotland and a leading military commander in Robert’s successful struggle to gain independence from English rule; later he was regent for Robert’s young son and successor, David II (reigned 1329–71).

In 1312 Robert I re-established the Earldom of Moray for his nephew, Thomas Randolph, 1st Earl of Moray. The new earldom included all of the old province and the crown lands of the Laich or coastal area of Moray.
