Mar 21, 2010 · Kerr is himself the subject of another nearly forgotten monument nearby. It is called the Three Sticks, and it really is three giant sticks that stand beside the highway eight or so curvy miles south of the Kennedy memorial. The dedication sign at Three Sticks says they symbolize land, wood and water.
Lake Wister State Park. This monument features three giant sticks that stands tall next to Highway 259 within the Ouachita National Forest. The monument was erected in memory of senators Robert S. Kerr and Mike Monroney for contributing to the development of southeastern Oklahoma.
