Jan 7, 2008 · paul is a fresh roundwound guy... flats and dead strings won't cut it. along w/ the bose, it could have been an acoustic amp. i have read interviews where pj praises old acoustic amps, and have seen clips of him using them. don't know if it is what he had in the studio though... could have been direct. he also plays really aggressively, diggin deep w/ his right hand and hammering hard w/ his left.
