  3. Aug 12, 2023 · This pieta is carved in gray standstone - an interesting relief that’s inset into a muscular rectangular frame. Interestingly, this one has three surviving studies or models. (I don’t know if they were studies for the carving or mass-production cheap copies made after the carving!)
