I saw some references to a show that was supposed to have run on HBO in 2015 called "To Appomattox". It was an 8 episode miniseries. There is an IMDB page for it. But I can't tell if it actually aired. There are references to a name change to "Grant vs. Lee", but there isn't anything definitive on that name either.

Apr 9, 2011. #1. I thought all the Civil War enthusiast would enjoy this. Looks very promising and has a well put together cast. This is what executive producer Michael Beckner had to say on another forum: "The dramatic "spine" if you will is Grant's memoir--the 8 episodes begin with his entry to West Point and proceed through his funeral.
