Tom Arnold. Actor: True Lies. Tom Arnold was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Linda (Graham) and Jack Arnold. After his parents divorced, he was raised by his father. In 1983, he got his first taste of stand-up comedy when he performed at open microphone nights at the University of Iowa.

Biography. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Thomas Duane "Tom" Arnold (born March 6, 1959) is an American actor and comedian. He has appeared in many films, perhaps most notably True Lies (1994). He was the host of The Best Damn Sports Show Period for four years.
