Tom Ridge Environmental Center. The Tom Ridge Environmental Center (TREC) is an educational center dedicated to teaching visitors about the unique 3,200 acres of Presque Isle and the many different forms of life that inhabit the peninsula.
The Tom Ridge Environmental Center (TREC) looks like it arises naturally from its surroundings at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park. Here in this two-story structure of brick, glass, and steel, visitors will discover a 75-foot observation tower, 7,000 square feet of exhibits, a Presque Isle orientation theater, a research wing, and Presque Isle Gallery and Gifts.

The first and second floor exhibit areas of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center are open daily from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. year-round, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. The TREC is located at 301 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505, at the neck of the Presque Isle Peninsula.
