Aug 6, 2022 · Thomas Rosenberg is nationally known as a dynamic performer, teacher and chamber coach. He has been Artistic Director of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition since 1981, teaches cello and chamber music at Carleton and Macalester Colleges and maintains a pre-college home studio.
The Minnesota Chapter of the American String Teachers Association presented Tom Rosenberg, adjunct instructor in cello, with its annual “Master Teacher: Studio” award, given to a “meritorious teacher from a private lesson studio or college.”
Tom Rosenberg, Senior Lecturer in Cello, performed three concerts of chamber music in October. With The Isles Ensemble, in Minneapolis, he performed Dvorak’s Viola Quintet and Bartok Quartet #6. On Mankato”s “Music on the Hill” series, he performed Quartets by Mozart, Schubert, and Pulitzer Prize Winning Composer Caroline Shaw.
Carleton College & Macalester College, Instructor of Cello and Chamber Music. Founder and former cellist of the award-winning Chester String Quartet. Tom Rosenberg is the head of the Chamber Music Academy and a strings Instructor at The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music.
