TRACES is the European Commission's online platform for animal and plant health certification required for the importation of animals, animal products, food and feed of non-animal origin and plants into the European Union, and the intra-EU trade and EU exports of animals and certain animal products.
What is the difference between “TRACES Classic” and “TRACES NT”? TRACES Classic has been entirely replaced by the new TRACES platform, also referred to as TRACES New Technology (NT). Subsequently, the TRACES Classic platform was discontinued at the end of 2021.
TRACES NT is a multilingual online management tool that notifies, certifies, and monitors trade in animals, products of animal origin, feed and food of non-animal origin, plants, seeds, propagating material, goods of organic origin, and woods.
