Joseph Kosinski is pretty under-rated, alhough he finally got some decent acclaim with 'Maverick'. Rewatched Oblivion the other night (another Kosinski flick) and its also visually impressive. I think Legacy didn't get the acclaim it deserved because Bridges / Flynn's philopsphical dilema didn't resonate.
We know Jeff Bridges is in the 2025 Tron movie, so perhaps if they’re redoing the de-aging tech for Ares, they could reapply it to the raw footage from Legacy. This film is up there with Avatar as one of the best examples of the use of 3d. The lack of a 4k 3d release (i.e. standard) is a serious loss.
