Oct 24, 2022 · The library and museum are open March to October, Tue-Sun, 10am-5pm. In winter they’re open only on weekends and holidays 1-5pm. Tickets are €5.50/2.80 for adults/reductions. Take bus Number 4 from Ulm town centre to Pranger a bus stop right at the front of the Abbey (journey takes 11 minutes, leaves every 10 minutes).

On October 4, 1925, the “Museum of the City of Ulm” was opened under founding director Julius Baum (1882 – 1959). It emerged from the Museum of Applied Arts, founded in 1882 and institutionally taken over by the city of Ulm in 1923.
Occupying four adjacent houses, this museum displays art by the Ulm masters (Madonna of Bihlafingen by Hans Multscher) and the early-13C blue and gold painting of Mary in mourning, by a master from Upper Swabia. Several rooms are devoted to the guilds.
