Ulrich Tukur is a member of the Free Academy of Arts Hamburg. Tukur became the father of two daughters from his first marriage. His second wife Katharina John is a photographer. He lives with her on the island of Giudecca in Venice and in the mountain village of Montepiano, where he also works as a winemaker.
