Kirk Douglas excels as Ulysses but the real eye-candy is Silvana Mangano in her double role as Penelope and sorceress Circe. She simply looks magnificent. The colors still look as fresh as the day this movie was shot (1954), and the music score is evocative and impressive. A very pleasant surprise.
