The University of Houston Law Center is the law school of the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. Founded in 1947, the Law Center is one of 12 colleges of the University of Houston, a state university. It is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools.

To be eligible for admission to the J.D. program, all applicants must: Hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Have a recent score on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT); or Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Exam scores cannot be older than 5 years.

All undergraduate majors are acceptable, with courses that develop writing skills and analytical thinking recognized as good preparation for the study of law.
