New York City is Your Campus The nation’s largest urban university, offering a range of undergraduate, graduate degrees and continuing education opportunities to over 243,000 students of all ages and backgrounds on 25 NYC campuses.
In Fall 2004, 46 percent of all the college students in the City of New York were attending CUNY. An additional 40,500 students are enrolled in College Now, the University?s enrichment program for high school students at CUNY campuses and more than 200 New York City high schools. Another 8,000 students are enrolled in CUNY-affiliated high schools.
The University offers an outstanding and comprehensive array of academic programs. These include three undergraduate schools, thirteen graduate and professional schools, a world-renowned medical center, four affiliated colleges and seminaries, twenty-five libraries, and more than one hundred research centers and institutes.
The University’s historic mission continues to this day: provide a public first-rate education to all students, regardless of means or background.
