All-in-all, this was a great movie to watch with a light attitude. I mentioned in my review on that that film had a good balance of essential elements, such as comedy, action, suspense, and mystery. Well, this had an even better one. I thoroughly enjoyed this much more than ; although I came out of the theaters pretty...

As mentioned in the review, Don Lee has created a genre of his own. I don’t think anyone else can play the roles that he does in Korea. Can you think of a single actor that could fill his shoes? It almost feels like he’s casted before the movie is even written… As if the movie is made revolving around Don Lee and the image he has. I...

  5. Mar 8, 2019 · David Vo. - March 8, 2019. 1830. 0. Director Kim Min-ho makes his directorial debut with Unstoppable (2018), a kidnap thriller that is like an everyman version of Taken (2008). Korean cinema excels at these types of gritty thrillers and although Unstoppable may not be the best example of its type, it still makes for an enjoyable two hours.

  6. At the end of the day, Unstoppable is by no means an excellent movie that should be watched by everyone. However, it's an entertaining action-thriller with some surprising situation comedy and a charismatic lead actor who might as well be considered South Korea's best contemporary male actor by now.

  7. Don't let that ominous theatrical poster or the similarly imposing title fool you. 'Unstoppable' is a surprisingly light-hearted movie. I mean sure, Dong-cheol (played by Ma Dong-seok) is built like a tank and his wife Ji-soo (played by Song Ji-hyo) does inevitably get kidnapped. But up until that point, 'Unstoppable' is a very domestic film, where the leading man eschews violence for the sake ...
