The US Army Band, known as "Pershing's Own", is out of Ft Myer, in Arlington, VA. It provides musical support to the national leadership. I.e. these are the musicians playing at state dinners in the White House, the herald trumpets at major events, playing national anthems when foreign dignitaries visit, concerts at the Capitol in the summer, etc.
May 9, 2024 · The Concert Band & Soldiers’ Chorus are the oldest and largest of The U.S. Army Field Band’s performing components. Founded in 1946 and 1957 respectively, these two ensembles combine to present joint concerts on their national tours. They have performed in all 50 states and 30 foreign countries for audiences totaling hundreds of millions.
