- Caspersen Beach. Beaches end of Harbor Dr, Venice, FL 34285. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, picnicking and playing in the playgrounds can all be done at the Caspersen Beach.
- Venice Municipal Beach. Beaches Venice, FL. The Venice Municipal Beach is a certified Blue Wave Beach and has won in 2008 the best restored Beach Award. Volleyball courts, picnic areas and boardwalks are some of the amenities found here.
- Deer Prairie Creek. Horseback Riding 7001 Forbes Trail, Venice, FL 34292. Deer Prairie Creek is a tour company that offers customised trail rides for adults and children aged 8 years or older, from November to May.

Why is Venice Beach important?
There was a small shop for food and restrooms, with a boardwalk area to walk out to the beach. We didn't stay too long as the weather wasn't the best. The sand is much more coarse and dark than the sand in Siesta Key, and the drop off to the water was much more of a slope as well.
