   The museum is a short and very pleasant ferry trip away from Oslo City Centre - then a 15 min treck up a hill. There are three ships on display. One is a ceremonial ship (close to shore for use by important Vikings..) one the full blown ocean going vessel and one very little else than a keel.

   Is the Viking Museum a good place to visit?

   • The Viking Museum is surprisingly small, but is interesting and (when you think about it) amazing that these ships are so old and still so well preserved! There were two intact ships and one that is a burial ship and far less preserved and more of a flat piece of wood.
