Vlad Țepeș is a 1979 Romanian historical drama film directed by Doru Năstase. The film recounts the story of Vlad the Impaler (also known as Vlad Dracula), the mid-15th century Voivode of Wallachia , and his fights with the Ottoman Turks on the battlefield and with the Boyars in his court.

Feb 4, 2020 · Anyway, in Vlad, SO much is lost in the bad dubbing and choppy over-editing that the movie is not a stellar experience in English. The plot lacks the subtlety of plot and character development of a grand series like Ertugrul, and add to that stilted, robotic dubbing, and it is a mess.

There is Vlad Țepeș which is Romanian and apparently commissioned by the then President, Nicolae Ceaușescu. (He was a real fan). That movie was so historically inaccurate. I don't know of a movie that isn't a documentary, but I did want to tell you to trust your gut on DU. Horrible.
