In this calendar the average year is 365.2425 days long. It’s only about 30 seconds different from Earth’s orbital period each year. That means it will take a little more than 3,333 years before the Gregorian calendar is off by a full day. A leap year is a year that has one day more than the normal 365 days. The extra day is February 29.
