The Washington State Capitol Campus has many sights and attractions for visitors to enjoy. Many are outdoors, and so can be visited every day, all year round. The Capitol Campus is managed by Washington State's Department of Enterprise Services (DES). Visit the DES website (button below) for information including campus hours, driving directions, Capitol facts and history, and event and tour scheduling. DES provides parking for visitors in lots and metered parking spaces at the Capitol Campus.
A visit to the Washington State Capitol Campus isn’t complete without a guided tour of the Legislative Building. These free, walking tours are offered daily and typically last about 50 minutes. You can also wander Campus and take in the many memorials, gardens, and special events featured on the grounds.
The interior is decorated with Tiffany chandeliers and clad in marbles from five countries. The tour of the Legislative Building includes the North Foyer, Rotunda, State Reception Room, and Legislative Galleries. Free, guided public tours of the Washington State Legislative Building (Capitol Building) are available daily and are open to everyone.
