Like that film, "Night Sins" establishes a very sinister mood (in a snowy picturesque town) in the first few minutes and carries it through right to the end. Given a well presented film, I am not averse to an ambiguous ending, so the fact that everything wasn't all neatly tied up in the last few minutes was not a problem for me.

Night Sins is a 1997 CBS network television movie which aired on February 23, 1997.
An FBI investigator (Valerie Bertinelli) takes over the jurisdiction in a small northern town called Dear Lake after a young boy is abducted.
As she investigates the case, she discovers a series of abductions & murders going back 20 years and develops a mutual attraction to the town's police chief (Harry Hamlin).
