When Werner Peter Pfeffer was born on 3 April 1927, in Germany, his father, Friedrich Pfeffer, was 37 and his mother, Vera Henriette Bythiner, was 23. He married Mary J Gorham on 21 April 1961, in Orange, California, United States. He registered for military service in 1939.
