Copts believe in the Holy Trinity of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The latter two are inseparable from God and have no existence of their own. Christ is the most important figure in the church and is called “God the Word” (Logos), who came to be born of the Virgin Mary and Holy Spirit.
