Nov 09, 2021 · A story arc (also called a narrative arc) is just a term for the plot of your story. The line that the story follows, from beginning to end, is called an “arc” because of the rising, peak, and falling action. It runs from the beginning, through the middle, to the end of a story.
Superhero fantasy 👊. Almost all superhero stories are superhero fantasy, in that they involve some strange, out-of-this-world (sometimes literally) phenomena occurring. Though we may not think of these narratives as “fantasy” per se, they definitely fit when you think about how fantastical they are.
Factions exist in worlds that are consumed in struggle, where one is forced to compete for resources, compel the populace, or fight for its survival. Those in a faction stand opposed to forces that pose a threat to the goals of the group. They are segments of a population, unified because of, or despite, conflict.
A famous example of allegory is Dante’s Divine Comedy, where Dante uses his fictional journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven as an allegory for the journey of a person’s soul to God. 2. Allusion. Allusion is a literary device that indirectly references a real life person, place, or event.
