My dose was bumped up to 100mg, after a year my cystic acne is gone. Only one in the last 4 months. They want to take me off doxy bc not a good long term solution. My derm prescribed Spirolactone.

Jul 16, 2017 · Doxycycline can be taken with food and tends to have the least overall chances of side effects compared to minocycline and tetracycline. That is not to say of course it does not have side effects because it certainly does. Doxycycline can cause upset stomache, headaches and tends to be the most photosensitizing.
Surgery is the ultimate solution, however, before resorting to it, I would recommend to aspirate the seroma weekly and apply a tight Velcro binder. That technique might cause the seroma cavity to shrink and eventually close down. Give it 2-3 weeks trial and if the amounts of fluids aspirated are going down, you are on the tight track.
