However, we do use the term ‘cold-blooded’ to describe something heartless and with no feeling, but when it comes to animals this is not the case.

Cold blooded animals and other organisms just live in places that have temperatures where the reactions work well. If they get cold, they slow down and rest. If they get warm, they can be active.
