Jan 04, 2015 · That is debatable. Wives are seldom mentioned in the scriptures, but that doesn't mean they didn't exist. Presumably all the apostles had wives, yet we don't know anything about them. You assume that Jesus didn't have a wife, but that opinion is unsupported by fact. Jesus is called "Rabbi", a title traditionally reserved for married men.
