I turned on the flashlight & went to look, and the noise stopped as soon as I got near the door. I opened the door, & saw nothing. I dismissed it as being air currents, and went back to sleep.

We've had to replace the handles because of this since they'd eventually break. It's weird to me that people would think that the door is locked and therefore means...nobody is inside and that it will magically unlock and be empty if they just keep trying.
Anyone got tips for reducing doorknob jiggle, or got a lead on a jiggle-free interior doorknob? Working on reducing things rattling when the subwoofer hits. Got the door itself and some picture frames taken care of, but knob is jiggly and the last major source of rattling.
Dec 18, 2020 · Jiggling Handles. When you go to turn a door handle, the knob should be tight and smooth. If you notice a jiggle on the knob, the internal components may not be as strong as they used to. You can try tightening the handle itself. If the doorknob still jiggles, then you may need a replacement knob.
