Aug 28, 2012 · I have a 1958 Normal engine with the infamous oil thermostat. It is engine number P68984. Is there any way of pinning down a build date for this engine - month would help but week would be better. Secondly, on the case boss where you usually find a 616/- number, it is stamped "1600".
