Uncanny was still running at the time Morrison was doing New X-Men (the renamed X-Men). Morrison focused mainly on Cyclops, Jean, Emma, Wolverine, Beast, and Xavier along with lots of new younger characters. He made a lot of revolutionary changes. Meanwhile, Uncanny kept more of a traditional focus on the X-Men with lots of characters.
