- Stainless steel sheet grade 321 is a titanium with good general properties as well as corrosion resistance. It has excellent resistance between grains or crystals corrosion after exposure to temperatureschromium. It also possesses good low temperature toughness.
Stainless steel foil tape is a non-corrosive, non-magnetic tape option that serves many industries. Its heavy duty qualities make it ideal for harsh environments and intense applications. All Foils offers stainless steel foil tape in a variety of gauges, widths, and more.
Description. Type 321 is a titanium stabilized chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel with corrosion resistance similar to 304/304L. This grade is typically used in the 800-1500˚F temperature range where it is stabilized against chromium carbide precipitation by the addition of titanium, which results in the precipitation of titanium carbides.
The titanium content of 321 stainless steel preserves corrosion resistance around weld points. This material maintains its corrosion resistance in temperatures up to 1500° F. Foil is often used as a heat-treating wrap in temperatures up to 2600° F. It is furnished with a crimping tool. For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
Difference Between Stainless Steel 321 Sheet, Plate & Foil. If thickness greater than 0.15 mm and less than 6.35mm is called a ASTM A240 Grade 321 Sheet. If thickness greater than 6.35 mm is called a SA 240 type 321 Plate. If thickness less than 0.15mm is then its a ASTM A240 Type 321 Foil.
