Marie Jensen Verkjennhagen Holtebu (née Olsen; 1 May 1850 – 24 November 1959) was a Norwegian centenarian, who held the title of world's oldest living person after Christina Karnebeek-Backs died on 7 October 1959.
Marie Olsen was born in Herefoss, Birkenes, Aust-Agder, Norway on 1 May 1850 to Ole Nilsen Holtebu and Gunhild Tharandsdatter. She had one sister: Anne Johannessen Slettene Birkenes.
She married Ole Jensen Verkjennhagen in 1884. They had five children: Ole Olsen (1885–1963), Anna Olsdatter (1887–1962), Gunhild Olsdatter Petterson (1888–1940), Jensine Olsdatter Petterson (1891–1980) and Anders Olsen (1893–1973). Her husband died in 1925.
After the death of Vilhelmine Olsen on 19 July 1958, she became the oldest known living person in Norway.
Marie Olsen died in Plassen, Frolands Verk, Froland, Norway on 24 November 1959 at the age of 109 years, 207 days. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest Norwegian-born person ever, behind Velgjer Svien. She was the oldest people to die in Norway until Herman Smith-Johannsen broked her record in 1987.
