As of the 2020 census, the borough population was 8,300. Doylestown is located 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Trenton, 25 miles (40 km) north of Center City Philadelphia, 27 miles (43 km) southeast of Allentown. It is part of the Delaware Valley, also known as the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
