- Tent camping at Gettysburg National Military Park is available only at the McMillan Woods area of the park. The campground is open from April through the end of October every year. Camping is limited to Scout and other youth groups at McMillan Woods and site reservations must be made in advance at recreation.gov. Walk-ins are not permitted.
