The Premier Division is a feeder to the Ardal Leagues, and therefore sits at tier 4 of the Welsh football pyramid.

The Gwent County League (Welsh: Cynghrair Sir Gwent; known as the Autocentres Gwent County League for sponsorship reasons) is a football league in South Wales, consisting of 3 divisions, named the Premier Division and Divisions One and Two. The Premier Division allows promotion to the third-tier Ardal Leagues.
The league was formed in 1980 from a merger of the Monmouthshire Senior League and the Gwent Premier League.

Jun 28, 2019 · The 2019/20 Gwent County League has been rebranded. Division One is now the Premier Division. Gwent's top tier three tiers have also announced the fixtures.
Jan 18, 2021 · After avoiding relegation in their first few years in the Gwent County League, the Crows progressed up the table from season to season and finished in fourth at the end of both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. The club have also had success in cup competitions of late, winning the Gwent Senior Cup with a 1-0 victory over Ynysddu Welfare.

The league is divided into a number of divisions, with the top division being the Gwent Premier League. The league is administered by the Gwent County Football Association.
Each can send one promoted team into League One. In the Gwent FA area, there is one senior league, the Gwent County League, whose champions (or runners-up) are eligible, if they satisfy FAW criteria.
