Doraemon is one of the most popular anime in India. The Indian dubs are in 4 languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English. It previously aired on Hungama TV and Disney Channel India but now it only airs on Disney Channel India.
In the Indian version, instead of being referred as 1979 and 2005 anime, they are referred as seasons, the seasons are as follows:
Season 1-12: 1979 Anime
Season 12-18: 2005 Anime
Currently, India doesn't air the 2005 remake episodes, instead, they keep on airing the old animation episodes. India also currently airs the 1979 anime on the SD feed of Disney Channel.
