If you want to read Johns Green Lantern run in total, get the Johns Green Lantern Omnibus set, it contains every story he wrote for Blackest Night, and nothing else is required to understand the story. That's what I bought. But if you want all the tie ins, stuff like Blackest Night: Batman, you have to get the Blackest Night Omnibus.
