The first Loew’s Theater in New York City was erected in Brooklyn on Willoughby and Pearl Streets. In 1914 he constructed the Loew’s Bedford movie theater at 1372 Bedford Avenue in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Later renamed Las Olas Riverfront Cinemas, it was operated by Sunrise Cinemas until 2010, when Frank Theatres took over. It featured 15 state of the art stadium style seating auditoriums. The Las Olas played great art, foreign and independent as well as the latest blockbuster films.
