At study inclusion, the qSOFA score of adult participants with sepsis (n = 140) was 0, 1, 2 and 3 in 4.3%, 41.4%, 49.3% and 5.0%, respectively. The sensitivity of qSOFA for the recognition of sepsis was 54.3% (76/140) using a SOFA score ≥2 as a gold standard.
